Waranga: Township Talent from Chatsworth Ready to Inspire South Africa’s Music Scene
Rising artist Waranga, hailing from Welbedacht East in Chatsworth, is making waves in South Africa’s music industry with his unique blend of Rap, Pop, Trap, and R&B. His music, crafted to resonate with audiences of all ages, reflects his journey, experiences, and aspirations, aiming to inspire communities across the nation.
Waranga began rapping during his high school years, later pursuing college before returning to his passion for music. Influenced by international icons such as 50 Cent, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, and Drake, he has developed a sound that is both versatile and deeply personal.
In 2025, Waranga released three singles:

• Ngyeke
• YUGO – released on November 28, 2025
Following the success of YUGO, Waranga is set to release his highly anticipated EP in January 2026, accompanied by the official YUGO music video.
