A self-taught graphic designer with an unshakable commitment to both artistry and community empowerment, KINGSAVAGE is redefining what it means to rise from humble beginnings and transform challenges into opportunities.
A Creative VisionaryKINGSAVAGE’s journey into design was not paved by formal training but by relentless curiosity, resilience, and a passion for visual storytelling. As the only active designer in his community, he has become a beacon of inspiration proving that creativity can thrive even in the most underserved spaces. His ultimate dream is to establish an internet café in Nyakaza, a hub that will not only provide access to technology but also nurture future innovators, designers, and entrepreneurs.
A Commitment to Uplift OthersBeyond design, KINGSAVAGE has dedicated himself to guiding students through critical life opportunities. He assists with applications for NSFAS bursaries, TVET colleges, learnerships, internships, and general vacancies, ensuring that young people in his community are not left behind. This mission stems from his own lived experience: after matriculating in 2016, he faced a gap year not by choice but by circumstance, struggling to access tertiary education. Instead of surrendering to frustration, he chose to master the system and help others navigate it. His philosophy is simple yet powerful: “We rise by lifting one another.”
Professional Growth and People-Centered WorkIn 2019, KINGSAVAGE joined Majuba TVET College as an assistant in Open Learning, where he focused on enrollment and registrations. This role deepened his love for working with people and reinforced his belief in education as a transformative tool. His work at Majuba reflects his broader mission: to merge creativity with service, ensuring that every interaction leaves a lasting impact.
